Abstract
A formulation of the quantum theory of fields is given, which is based on the idea of ordered products and has the following advantages: (1) The formalism is completely free from any ambiguity in the order of field operators. (2) The zero-point energy of fields vanishes. (3) The zero-point charge of fields vanishes without the use of any special device. (4) The formalism gives us some new information about nonlinear interactions of fields. Keywords
