Absorptance of Gold in the Far Infrared*

Abstract
The reflectances of seven gold mirrors were measured accurately for wavelengths from 8.5 to 84 μ. The absorptances, calculated from the reflectances, were used to determine the nature of the reflection of the electrons in gold at the gold-air interface.Keywords
