SOME FACTORS INFLUENCING THE LENGTHS OF SURVIVAL FOLLOWING BILATERAL SUPRARENALECTOMY

Abstract

One-stage adrenalectomies on 68 rats divided into 6 groups from 20 to 70 days of age indicated that: [female][female] survive longer than [male][male]; survival period increases with age, the greatest jump being at puberty; initial body weight has no influence on survival period; rapid loss of weight following operation indicates short survival period.
