Abstract
Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) has been used extensively in the food and agricultural industries for the past twenty years. Recent technological advances have made NIRS an attractive analytical method for use in the pharmaceutical industry. NIRS has been shown to be useful as a qualitative and a quantitative method. A review of pharmaceutical applications of NIRS as well as quality control and regulatory issues is presented. Keywords
