Abstract
Kettlehole Bog lies within moraine of the Poulter glacial re-advance about 2.000 ft a.s.l. some 12 miles south-east of the Main Divide at the foot of Sugarloaf in the Cass basin, mid Canterbury. The basin is dominated by Festuca novae-zelandiae grassland and the surrounding hill slopes carry remnants of once extensive Nothofagus solandri var. clif-fortioides forest. Keywords
