Abstract
The effects of electron correlations on the single-particle processes in alkali metals have been calculated incorporating the more appropriate band theory masses at the Fermi surface rather than those at the bottom of the conduction band, as previously used. This modification substantially improves the agreement between theory and experiment. Keywords
