STEATORRHEA WITH DIABETES: A CASE REPORT

Abstract
A 57-year-old white man with severe diabetes of 35 years''duration had gradually developed severe emaciation. He was found to have a duodenal ulcer and marked steatorrhea with normal pancreatic function as measure by duodenal drainage and secretin stimulation. Several similar cases have been reported in 1956. Steatorrhea improved and there was a 24-lb. weight gain following administration of prednisone for 6 months.Keywords
