Double-Beam Infrared Microspectrometer

Abstract
A double-beam infrared microspectrometer which is particularly suitable for the examination of fibers, small crystals and microsamples is described. It is based on a double-beam-in-time system and involves a precision stage movement which inserts sample and reference alternately into the beam. The merits of this system are discussed with reference to other systems which have been developed for infrared microspectrometry.
