Abstract
Denatured DNA preparations from Escherichia coli were centrifuged to equilibrium in cesium chloride solutions. Hybridizing experiments with radioactively labeled ribosomal RNA showed that the DNA strands complementary to ribosomal RNA were distributed on the heavy side of the DNA band. By fractionating this band the DNA strands coding for ribosomal RNA may be enriched 5- to 20- fold. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
