The Evanston Dental Caries Study

Abstract
In the 6- to 8-yr. age group (exposed to the fluorided water for 20-25 mos.), the F content of the saliva varied from 0.14 to 0.35 ppm. with an avg. of 0.25 ppm. and a mean of 0.27 ppm. The results of this investigation show no apparent relationship between the F content of saliva to the oral lactobacillus counts or to the incidence of dental caries.
