Abstract
Observations on a control series of 44 normal and 44 hypophysectomized rats showed the main liver mass (median and left lateral lobes) to be more closely correlated in wt. to the wt. of the post. lobe than to body wt. The main liver mass was removed in partial hepatectomy in normal and in hypophysectomized rats. Although there was a slightly lessened ability to restore liver substance (increase in wt. of post, lobe) after partial hepatectomy among hypophysectomized rats as compared with rats not hypophysectomized, this was probably due to differences in the amt. of food ingested in the 2 groups. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
