Self-assembly of square multiporphyrin arrays by metal ion coordination

Abstract

The complexation of cis or trans meso-dipyridyl porphyrins by cis or trans substituted metal ions (Pd^II, Pt^II) of square planar coordination geometry leads to the self-assembly of multiporphyrin arrays of square architecture.
