Abstract
Ingestion of Sb2O3 (approx. 2 g./rat/wk. for 4 wks.) by white rats and rabbits had little effect on body wt. or O2 uptake. The effects of thyroxin injns. appeared to be increased by Sb2O3 so that a greater degree of hyperactivity was observed with the Sb-thyroxin combination than with thyroxin alone. The distr. of Sb in the tissues was not significantly altered by injn. of thyroxin. The glandular hyper-plasia observed in the thyroids of the Sb group was not present in the thyroxin-Sb group.
