Higher Order Corrections to the Cranking Model

Abstract
The energy levels of the ground-state bands of several deformed nuclei are calculated using a scheme whereby higher order terms in (nuclear angular velocity) are retained in the cranking model. Two-parameter and three-parameter fits are obtained to the absolute energies.
