The Nuclear Spins and Quadrupole Moments of Stable Germanium Isotopes

Abstract
Analysis of the hyperfine structure of spectral lines arising from the J=01 rotational transition of GeH3Cl allows the assignment of zero spin to the nuclei of Ge70, Ge72, Ge74, and Ge76, and a spin of 9/2 to Ge73. The nuclear quadrupole moment of Ge73 is determined to be (-0.2±0.1) × 1024 cm2.
