THE BABY COCKEREL TEST FOR ANDROGENS1,2

Abstract
Attempts to verify the White Leghorn chick test failed to confirm the reliability of the method as compared with the established capon test. The comb growth responses both to intramusc. and intraven. injs. were of a lower order than that obtained by direct comb injection, as practiced in the capon test and the responses in general were irregular. Controls, moreover, were of dubious value.
