Abstract
In the dissection of wild mosquitoes in search of malaria vectors only the sporozoite rate is of any value, and such rates much be determined within 48 hrs. after capture of the mosquitoes to be valid. The number of any vector sp. is also important to know since a poor carrier in great numbers may be more dangerous than a good carrier in small numbers. Data as to time, place, and method of capture of the mosquitoes must also be recorded. Illustrations of the proper methods are selected from data acquired during field work in Malaya.
