Glutathione Reductase in Red Blood Cells: Variant Associated with Gout

Abstract
A variant of red cell gluta thione reductase, characterized by greater electrophoretic mobility, in creased enzyme activity per unit of hemoglobin, and an autosomal mode of inheritance, has been found in Negro populations. There appears to be an association of this variant with primary gout.Keywords
