A moniliaceous fungus isolated from farm soil of the Allahabad Agricultural Institute, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India is described and illustrated as ACROPHIALOPHORA nainiana with special emphasis on the character- istics of its conidiophores. Its close relation to the genera Paecilomyces and Masonia is discussed.
