Abstract
This paper points out the similarity between certain bodies that are considered by several investigators to be stages in the life cycle of Plasmodium and certain bodies that are generally recognized by protozoologists to be stages in the life cycle of Toxoplasma. Toxoplasma-like bodies are described from canaries infected with P. cathemerium and P. nucleophilum. The possibility is suggested that the reproductive cycle in Plasmodium described recently in leucocytes may be due to a mixed infection with Plasmodium and Toxoplasma. Keywords
