The antioxidant produced by the Petrochemicals Division of ICI, ‘Topanol’ CA, is now included under recommendation VI of the Bundesgesundheitsamt (BGA) for use in styrenic polymers for food contact applications in West Germany. It may be used at levels up to 0.2%, weight for weight.
