Low-temperature mesomorphism in ring-substituted benzylideneanilines

Abstract

Several new mesomorphic ring-substituted Schiff bases, i.e., N-(4-n-alkoxybenzylidene)-4-n-alkyl-2-methylanilines, with low crystalline to nematic transition temperatures are reported.
