Abstract
The loss of weight in mouse testes as a function of X-ray dose can be described by the formula W = Aoe-KaD + Boe-kbD where W is the weight, D the dose, and Ao, Bo, ka, kb are constants independent of dose rate over the range 1.4 to 64 r/minute. The same formula can be used to describe testes weight loss in the hamster and rat if kb is equal to zero. The value of ka is about twice as large in the mouse as in the rat or hamster. Keywords
