Studies in the Genus Pleospora. I

Abstract

The relationships of the spp. of Pleospora with 3-septate spores or those showing a tendency to become 5-septate are treated. On the basis of the collections studied, spp. are delimited, binomials assigned and synonymy cited. Such assignments are of necessity incomplete, and in part arbitrary, as yet, but are essential in order to establish a working basis in the genus. P. clypeata on Agave in the New York Bot. Gard. collection, is new.
