Abstract
Summary: Treatment of suspensions of foot-and-mouth disease virus with Arcton eliminates the 7 mμ component without reducing the infectivity titer. The immunogenicity of vaccines prepared from virus suspensions and Arcton-treated suspensions is the same, indicating that there is no loss of 20 mμ component. Neutral mixtures of virus and antiserum can be dissociated with excellent recovery of virus infectivity.
