Abstract
The neutron diffraction pattern of liquid mercury at 23°C has been measured. The pattern has general resemblance to the x‐ray patterns obtained by Debye and Menke and by Jennings, although the angular resolution is not quite as good. The inner peak which has been reported by several investigators is not seen. The radial density function has been calculated from the data. Keywords
