s-Band State Density at the Fermi Energy in NbN

Abstract

${\mathrm{Nb}}^{93}$ spin-lattice relaxation-time measurements in NbN show that the niobium $5s$ contribution to the total state density at the Fermi energy is less than 10%. This result is considered in terms of electronic band models for NbN.
