Abstract
Third of 4 papers on scabies in this issue. Mackenzie used an emulsion "proscabin," Bayer, in 100 cases of scabies and considers it an important advance in treatment. He claims that it is easy to apply, stops the itching almost immediately, is a rapid cure and is particularly valuable where large numbers are infected. There is a temporary prickly sensation during application but no other unpleasant effects. Two tables show the comparison of 100 benzyl benz. cases with 100 sulfur inunction cases. 9 references.
