Abstract
Large but simple systems have been simulated by Monte Carlo methods. For spin 1/2 Ising lattices, up to 216 million spins were used in three dimensions; for percolation, up to 1225 million sites in the triangular lattice. Possible applications include the evaluation of the nucleation rate in the Ising model as function of supersaturation, and of corrections to scaling for percolation cluster numbers.
