Abstract
A new type of motor in which a scheme involving electronic tubes is used to perform a function similar to that of a commutator is described in this paper. The motor operates at variable speed and is supplied from a 3-phase power system. A 400-hp motor of this type has been built and is ready For commercial use. Keywords
