Bombardment ofC12byLi6Ions

Abstract

Thin, self-supporting carbon films have been bombarded by ${\mathrm{Li}}^6$ ions with an incident energy of 3 MeV. Relative angular distributions have been determined for alpha particles leading to the ground state of ${\mathrm{N}}^{14}$, deuterons to the ground state of ${\mathrm{O}}^{16}$, and protons to the second, third, and fourth excited states of ${\mathrm{O}}^{17}$.
