A Stimulus-Expectancy Need-Cathexis Psychology

Abstract
In rats, where culture does not operate, there are negligible correlations between intelligences (tendencies to succeed) or drives in any 2 different problems. In man, intelligence, motivation and emotional stability are products of a particular culture rather than of human biology. Nevertheless, the formal laws concerning these factors are universal and may be conveniently examined in rats.
