Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 39-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of congestive heart failure.He was known to have a heart murmur since his high-school days but had always been well and vigorous, engaging in calisthenics and jogging. Six months before admission he awoke with anterior chest pain and extreme fatigue and remained in bed all day. There were no further episodes of chest pain, but the fatigue persisted during the next few months, and he occasionally felt his heart beating irregularly.
