The determination of band masses from Fermi surface geometry

Abstract
The results of band mass calculations in white tin made with PW and APW formalisms are presented. The one electron crystal potential parameters were chosen to reproduce the known Fermi surface dimensions and the results prove to be very sensitive to the energy dependence of these parameters.Keywords
