Abstract
15 aphasics out of a series of 130 were studied in regard to errors following directions and similar items, postulated as an impairment of reauditorization. All made errors in simple verbal or visual comprehension. All made inconsistent errors in articulation. All had limited vocabulary, were impaired in the ability to repeat words and phrases, rhyming, in oral and silent reading and writing. Therapy such as direction following, identifying objects, overlearning language, repeating, sentence completion and oral opposites gave better progress and fewer difficulties.
