Abstract
A total of 2,005 fecal samples collected quarterly over a 5-year period from native Nebraska cows, ages 1 to 6, were examined for internal parasites. Incidence and level of roundworms decreased (P<.05) in older cattle with tendency for lower coccidia infection. Season of the year affected (P<.05) incidence with roundworms and tapeworms being lower in June than in October, January or March and coccidia being greater in October than January, March or June. No clinical cases of internal parasites were observed. Copyright © 1979. American Society of Animal Science . Copyright 1979 by American Society of Animal Science.
