Abstract
Sulfadimidine (2_(p-aminosulfonamido)-4,6 dimethylpyridine) is poorly absorbed and slowly excreted by the locust, Locusta migratoria. A variable amt. of the sul-fadimidine is conjugated by acetylation. N4-acetylsulfadimidine was identified in the excreta by paper chromatography. Acetylation of 6-amino-4-nitro-o-cresol, a possible metabolite of 4,6-dinitro-o-cresol, also occurs. Keywords
