Abstract
Analysis of the polarization of fluorescence from Drosophila virilis polytene chromosomes stained with acridine orange suggests that the DNA in the interband regions of these chromosomes cannot be in a supercoiled configuration, but must lie parallel to the chromosome axis.This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
