Abstract
Endo-aneurysmorrhaphy, developed by Matas for treatment of peripheral aneurysms, consists of intrasaccular suture of the parent artery and branches arising from the aneurysm. Damage to collateral circulation and adjacent structures is therefore avoided. In treatment of aortic aneurysm, the same technics can be used to advantage even though aortic continuity is restored with a graft. Intrasaccular suture of intercostal and lumbar branches and division of the aorta at its junction with the aneurysm are easily accomplished from within the sac. Time required to remove the aneurysm is saved, and injury to adjacent structures is avoided.
