Abstract
Alterations in autonomic nervous system activity in human subjects have been related to serum free fatty acid (FFA) levels. During autonomic ganglion blockade the serum FFA level falls. During acute psychological stress the FFA level rises, and this rise is blocked by effecting autonomic blockade during the stressful experience. In the control studies, the degree of psychologic arousal was in part a determinant of the initial FFA level and the pattern of change during the morning of study. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
