Abstract
A simple programming model of distributed-memorymessage-passing computer systems is first applied todescribe the couple architecture/application by two setsof parameters. The node timing formula is then derivedon the basis of scalar, vector and communicationcomponents. A set of suitability functions, extractedfrom the performance formulae, are defined. Thesefunctions are applied as an example to the performanceanalysis of the 1-dimensional FFT benchmarkfrom the GENESIS benchmark suite. ...Keywords
