Co-ordinated Experiments on Chemical Control of Root Maggots in Rutabagas in British Columbia and Washington, 19531

Abstract

King & Forbes (1954) reported on extensive experimental work carried out from 1948 to 1952 on Vancouver Island, B.C., in which they were able to control root maggots in rutabagas by applying aldrin or heptachlor by any one of several methods. In addition they clarified the problem of root maggot attack on rutabagas and developed methods for appraising the damage and control on this crop.
