Abstract
The authors describe a model for inter-process communication and synchronisation, which enables heterogeneous MIMD-SIMD systems to be constructed according to the requirements of the application. They also show how features of the AMT DAP favour its use as a building block in the construction of such systems, and demonstrate this with an example showing the advantages in using the approach in the development of a typical application Author(s) Skinner, S.G.
