Abstract
Rabbits immunized with a synthetic protein-digoxin conjugate formed antibodies capable of specific binding of tritated digoxin. Nonradioactive digoxin inhibited the binding of tritiated digoxin by antidigoxin antibody, and this inhibitory capacity of nonradioactive digoxin may prove useful in the development of an immunological assay for digoxin in plasma and biological fluids. The possible value of digoxin-specific antibodies in the treatment of experimental digoxin toxicity and in the study of mechanism of digoxin action was discussed. This publication has 20 references indexed in Scilit:
