Abstract
The rate of atmospheric oxidation of dialuric acid was studied with reference to pH, temp., conc. of dialuric acid and influence of Fe as a catalyst. In the presence of Fe, there was 1/2 the usual oxidation. The reactants were shown to combine in equimolecular proportions. The suggestion that the oxidation-reduction potential has an important role in biological respiration has been rejected. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
