Dynamics of polyelectrolyte solutions by light scattering

Abstract
Quasi elastic light scattering was used to investigate the polyelectrolyte and added salt concentrations dependence of the mutual diffusion coefficient of sodium polystyrene sulfonate (NaPSS). Without added salt, two relaxation times are observed in the concentrated regime. The value of the fast component of the effective diffusion coefficient is in agreement with the results of spin echo neutron scattering experiments. The increase of salt concentration results in a splitting of the relaxation times
