Abstract
Analysis of hemoglobin solutions by the oxygen-capacity method was made and the results correlated with the quantitative measurements of light absorption by such solutions. The absorption ratio for hemoglobin has been determined over the visual spectrum and a curve plotted. The values agree with those obtained by some other investigators where the analysis depended on the weight of crystallized oxyhemoglobin. Certain precautions and limits of error in spectophotometric measurement are discussed. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
