The anti-inflammatory action of the lysolecithin degrading enzyme PLB was tested. For this purpose PLB was highly purified from Penicillium notatum. The purified enzyme showed anti-inflammatory activity in two different tests using Al (OH)3 and bentonite as inflammatory agents. There was also some immunosuppressive action by PLB, when adjuvants were used for the induction of an immune response against BSA.
