Abstract
A re-investigation of the room-temperature phase of KAlF4 by refining the neutron and X-ray powder diffraction patterns is presented. Using a multi-pattern version of the Rietveld program, it is shown that the occurrence of several broad lines in the diffractograms can be interpreted as coming from antiphase domains issued from opposite rotations of AlF6 octahedra. Keywords
