Abstract
A procedure is described for computer simulation of random sampling from a normally distributed population with prespecified mean and standard deviation. Evaluation of the number generator for both randomness and normality showed statistical characteristics adequate for Monte Carlo work, as well as for evaluation of psychological and behavioral models involving random error components. The computer program is included. Keywords
